Tony Phillips hits a leadoff homer and later gets hit by Frank Viola.
Phillips tries to charge the mound but is restrained by home plate umpire Tim Walke but the benches empty.
Joe Carter had been hit by a pitch in the previous inning.
The incident comes on the same day Phillips is fined $5,000 for an altercation with a fan.

He was out from May 10th through the 25th and got hurt again in his second day back.
This injury keeps him out of hte lineup until June 12th.
