Greg Minton undergoes surgery to remove bone fragments from his elbow. He returns to the active roster in July and 1990 is his final season in the big leagues.

The Orioles place Glenn Davis on the DL with a shoulder injury.
The issue limits him to just 49 games in 1991 and he never fully recovers.

Mike Harkey leaves his start against the Reds with shoulder problems. He is later placed on the DL and misses more than a year, returning to the rotation in July of 1992.

The Marlins place Brian Harvey on the DL with what is thought to be a minor elbow strain. Unfortunately for Harvey, he pitches in just four games the rest of the season and one game in 1995 and his career is over.

The Yankees place Matt Nokes on the DL with a broken hamate bone in his right hand. The injury keeps him out of the lineup until June 29th.

Sandy Alomar undergoes surgery on his left knee for the second time in eight months. He does not return to the lineup until the end of June.
