Happy 1990s Birthday to Jeff Tabaka, who was drafted out of college and spent 8 1/2 years in the minor leagues before breaking into the bigs with the Pirates in 1994.
Jeff appeared in 139 games in his career, all in relief, and earned six wins over six seasons.
Happy 1990s Birthday to Tyler Houston, who was the #2 overall pick of the 1989 draft (Atlanta) and spent eight years in the bigs with six teams.
Happy 1990s Birthday to Walt McKeel, who went 4-for-13 for the Red Sox and Rockies between 1996 and 2002.
Happy 1990s Birthday to Brad Fullmer, who debuted with the Expos in 1997. He enjoyed his best year in 2000 when he hit 32 homers and drove in 104 with Toronto. Unfortunately, Brad blew out his knee in 2004 and never played in the bigs again.

The Reds avoid arbitration with Randy Myers, signing him to a one-year deal worth $2 million.
Myers saved 31 games in 1990 but struggles in 1991 and is converted into a starter.

He began 1991 in Montreal and finished with Oakland. He wins 15 games for the A’s in 1992.

The Reds sign Erik Hanson to a one-year free agent deal worth $2.7 million.
Hanson goes 5-5 in 21 starts for the Reds.

The Mets avoid arbitration with Todd Hundley when they sign him to a four-year deal worth $21 million.
Hundley is coming off a 1996 campaign in which het set the record for home runs by a catcher with 41. He hits 30 in 1997.
