Happy 1990s Birthday to Jim Walewander, who had the misfortune of being an infield prospect in the Tigers organization stuck behind Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammell.
He spent parts of four seasons in the bigs with Detroit, the Yankees, and the Angels and also played in Italy.

Happy 1990s Birthday to Felix Jose, who made his debut with the A’s in 1988 and wrapped up his big-league career with the Diamondbacks in 2003. In between, he spent a year playing in Mexico and two in Korea.

It was his only MLB service time but he also pitched in Japan and Mexico.

Happy 1990s Birthday to Brent Bowers, who appeared in 21 games for the 1996 Orioles and hit .308.
He was a member of the Phillies and likely would have been called up after Danny Tartabull was injured but he tore his hamstring the same day Tartabull was hurt and never made it back to the bigs.

Nomo throws five shutout inning against the Giants and allows only one hit but the Dodgers blow a 3-0 lead and lose 4-3.
