Approximately 350,000 Kansas City Police Bo Jackson cards are destroyed in an Armco Steel Plant furnace. The cards were printed before the Royals released Bo after his football injury.
Some of the cards were given away at an April 14th home game, which made them a hot collector’s item in Kansas City during the baseball card boom of the early ’90s.
