Happy 1990s Birthday to Donald Harris, who was drafted 5th overall by the Rangers in 1989 and reached the bigs in 1991, playing in 82 games over three seasons. Harris attended Texas Tech where he also played football and was drafted by the Cowboys, but chose baseball.
Mark Small was born OTD in 1967.
He pitched in 16 games for Houston in 1996. Mark passed away in 2013.

Happy 1990s Birthday to Homer Bush, who was drafted by the Padres in 1991 and traded to the Yankees in the deal that netted the Yankees Hideki Irabu. Two years later he was sent to Toronto in the Roger Clemens deal.
Homer spent parts of seven years in the bigs and enjoyed his best season in 1999 when he hit .320 for the Jays.
Happy 1990s Birthday to J.D. Smart, who went 1-2 for the Expos and Rangers in 1999 and 2001. He retired due to arm trouble and worked for Hendricks Sports Management.

Paul Wilson has surgery to repair a small tear in his labrum. He throws 83 2/3 innings in the minor leagues over the next two seasons and misses all of 1999. He returns to the big leagues in 2000 with Tampa Bay.
